Series notes:

The Textile series was an experiment that came about during an art class I was teaching. I bought some colored pencil stix for my adults with disabilities class. I thought the medium would be easy for them to handle and great for shading and blending. While demonstrating how they might use them, I started blending the pencil stix as if I were weaving. Compositions came forth that looked like textiles to me.

In 2008 and 2009 I worked on this series and I continue to explore new ways to layer paint and colored pencils as a medium.
