Series notes:

In the summer of 2006 SAL was getting more shows and I was teaching weekly art camps at the Alki Bathhouse Art Studios. On the last day of camp, I usually host an art show for students to share their work. On that day I get to meet the whole family, sometimes even Grandparents.

During one of these art shows I met the mother of one of my talented students who happened to be involved with Town Hall Seattle, KEXP and other local venues. She discovered the SAL work and thought that Sam and I might fit into a project she was working on called "Town Hall Seattle, Family Concert Series."

The work we created for Town Hall Seattle and the family concert series was a unique and memorable experience. We were able to create posters for their concerts, meet talented musicians and other mother/son collaborators. We painted a huge canvas backdrop for their stage and we were commissioned to paint a SAL for their 2006 annual holiday card. The painting currently hangs in their board room.
